A Cold Walk Along the Trail of Lights

We took the kids to the Austin Trail of Lights last night. It's a holiday festival featuring a mile-long walk with 40+ light displays, music, over-priced refreshments, etc. It was crowded and bitterly cold (at least for this area) and quite windy, but the kids enjoyed it nonetheless.

I was actually a little disappointed. The displays were really more plywood cutouts, other figures and structures that were lit, rather than displays actually made out of lights. I had been expecting something more along the lines of Brookside Gardens' Garden of Light (back in Maryland), which we went to the past couple years.
