Good News on the Home Front?

Well, maybe not good news per se, but at least a break in the bad news. Business Week (via MSNBC) is reporting on a growing sense in the financial sector that the plummeting housing market may be leveling off. Though experts continue to disagree over how long the current downtrend will continue, most seem to be of the opinion that the worst may be over.

While that may not seem like particularly good news to some of you, it's practically music to my ears. Our house has been on the market for over 5 months now. We've added numerous incentives, dropped the price three times (by tens of thousands of dollars), yada, yada, yada, and still haven't sold the place. We have seen a small increase in the number of people looking at the home, and most everyone seems to like it, but they haven't been willing to make offers with the uncertain market conditions.

Hopefully that'll change soon. It's really a lovely house in a great neighborhood.... Anybody out there want to buy it?
