And they need to add to their collection of weird items I suppose (they've also collected a Virgin Mary-ish cheese sandwich and a "haunted" cane among other items).

And what makes an actor decide to auction off his kidney stones? Well, lest you think all that celebrity stuff has just gone to Captain Kirk's head, the kidney stone sale was for a good cause. Shatner donated the money to Habitat for Humanity.
