Who Wants to Play?

Our weekly playgroup met this morning following a two-week hiatus while we were away on our roadtrip. The kids helped me clean up after breakfast. Well, sort of. They do clear their places at the table after meals and they help put away their toys, but they also get distracted by those toys or different toys... or a blanket... or a scrap of paper... or a cardboard box... or a lady bug crawling across the floor... (that's gotta be one of the great things about being 3 or 4 - everything is so interesting and full of wonder when you're that age). All the while they kept saying "Today is Wednesday and our friends are coming over to play! Yeah!!!"

Anyway, I don't know if it was because we'd been gone for a couple weeks, they heard my kids cheering or what, but we had quite a crowd today. 21 dads and kids showed up! That was not quite a record for our group, but it was a much larger turnout than we've had the past couple months.
