Seeing Red

Hmmm... It's not looking good for Kerry. He's not out of it, but the networks have called Florida for Bush and Ohio seems to be leaning his way as well.

The Daily Yak Award for Patriotic Perseverance goes to those hardy souls in Ohio who are still waiting in line to cast their votes! 13+ hours in line, according to one report! Now that's dedication to the values of our representative democracy! Puts my 45 minute wait to shame.

My wife's given up and headed off to bed (with a note to wake her if/when there's a winner). My eyes are drooping as well, but I just can't bring myself to turn off the television. I've got a cold drink and a bowl of leftover Halloween candy (mmmm... chocolate!) sitting here next to me. I guess I'm in it for the long haul....
