Well... Alright Then

After picking my oldest up from preschool (yes, she's in preschool now... I'll have to blog about that soon), the kids and I headed over to Costco to do a little shopping. We picked up a few staples (as in bread, juice, fruit, etc... not the little metal paper fasteners) and headed back home.

When my wife got home from work she noticed that I had bought some empty spray bottles, and kind of raised her eyebrows as she asked, "Now, why did you have to buy these?"

It's a fair question, since I have, on very rare occasions (ahem!), made some purchases on impulse that wound up being a waste of money. However, this wasn't one of those times. I explained how the kids have been trying to help me clean the windows and sliding glass door, but they're really more into spraying the Windex rather than actually wiping it up. This may not seem like a huge problem, but if you get enough Windex on your window sill (or the nearby carpet), it tends to turn blue. My brilliant (?) mind figured that I could just give them spray bottles filled with water, and then I could just turn them lose without having to worry about the consequences!

"Oh!" she said. "So you'll get more house cleaning done then?"

"Yeah." I replied.

"Well... alright then."

Now, if I could just find a way to tie some Babylon 5 DVDs into cleaning the house. ;-)
