Stop the Flu - Wash Your Hands

My son seems to think he is competing for the world's fastest hand-washing title. Send him to the bathroom to wash up before dinner and he's back 15 seconds later, literally, with dripping wet hands. Despite repeated parental statements to the contrary, he still seems to think that just getting his hands wet is enough to wash off the dirt and germs. And, for whatever reason, he doesn't like to dry them afterward. Hey, he's only 5.

Anyway, in case you're wondering, a recent post over at Making Light details the proper hand-washing technique (it's really all about the soap and the actual mechanics of rubbing your hands together) and suggests it may be one of the best ways to prevent the spread of the flu, even "the Thousands-Dead-In-The-Streets Mass Horror Pandemic Flu (which will arrive someday, maybe this year, maybe not)." And, of course, don't forget that flu shot!
