One Man's Junk is Another's Treasure?!?

I believe I have mentioned this several times before, but I will admit it one more time.... I am a pack rat! I love buying things, collecting things, saving things, etc. I never throw anything away!

Well, alright, I'm exaggerating a little but you get the idea. I've turned our garage into a giant closet for all my stuff (not to mention the already full closets inside the house). Anyway, my "packrattiness" is now complicating our plans to move (soon... hopefully) to Austin. When you're paying the movers for every pound they're trucking cross-country, well, let's just say that I've seen the light and stuff has got to go!

So, basically, I decided to start kind of a continuous garage sale to try to thin out my accumulated treasures. And, of course being a blogger, I just had to do it online!

So, just in case you hadn't found the page yourself (it's been there for a while), let me now introduce you to my online garage sale, courtesy of eBay! At the moment there are a handful of books posted, but I have another hundred or two items that I will be posting for sale over the next week or so. Lots of books (biographies, histories, sci-fi/fantasy, politics, parenting....), general household and kid-related items, dishes and dinnerware, maybe some of my coin and stamp collections, videos and DVDs and much more.

Seriously, we could use a little extra cash to help with the new house and I have to get rid of this stuff before the movers get here! I will be posting new items for sale every night for the next week or two. So, check the online garage sale out daily and let me know what you think. Is my junk your treasure?
