Staying Cool

We've been experiencing a bit of a heat wave here in the DC area this week with heat index values well over 100 degrees, but fear not, relief is apparently on the way! A cool front is expected to move through tomorrow so the high temps will only be around 90 on Friday.

The county government is trying to do its part to help residents keep cool. They've ordered all the county's outdoor pools to lift their admission fees in the evenings. So, from 6 to 8:00pm you can swim free throughout the county. Yeah, it's not much but that water sure feels good!
