Move Update IV

I skipped my move update last week since there really wasn't much new to report. This week we've decided to up the stakes a bit more and be a little more creative on the the selling end of things.

Our house is only a few minutes from the Shady Grove Metro station, and we thought why not encourage people to use convenient mass transit? So, we are offering to pay for a full year's worth of Metro rail trips (including parking) for the buyer of our house!

We have also increased the buying agent bonus to a total of $7500 (on top of their commission) for a ratified contract that's accepted in the next two weeks.

On the Austin front, we have been having conference calls with our builder on the details the new house. These are moving along quite rapidly, and I am really excited about the house. I am finally going to have a house with a nice big front porch! That's just one of those things I've always wanted. Someplace to sit, relax and watch the world go by. Nice!

The lot we've chosen also has a fair number of trees (something not always that common in Texas) and backs up to a greenway/preserve that has a creek running through it. My wife, kids and I are really looking forward to it.

So, that's about it. Things seemed to have picked up for a couple weeks and then kind of died off this past week, but we remain optimistic. Anybody want to buy a house?
