Quality Time with My Boy

He's not quite old enough to grasp the subtleties of the game, but he soaks up the sounds and images nonetheless and looks to me, dear old dad, for cues. This afternoon we were treated to a real nailbiter as the Washington beat Seattle, 20-17, in overtime. We laughed. We cried. We sang Hail to the Redskins!

A real father-son bonding moment. ;-) And, hey, that means the 'Skins are 3-0 for the season. The last time they did that? 1991! And, I'll point out, they went on to win the Super Bowl that year! Now, I'm not quite seeing visions of the Lombardi trophy yet, but man, it feels good. Just ask my soon to be 4-year old son. He was so excited after the game, he ran to get his ball so the two of us could head out to the backyard for our own scrimmage.
