OK, I got this bee in my bonnet now.... News outlets are reporting that the Texas governor has ordered I-45 between Houston and Buffalo (about halfway to Dallas) to be "contra-laned" - forcing all lanes to accept northbound traffic to help speed up the evacuation). Well, there seems to be some communication lag between the authorities, cause I just pulled this pic (above) off the
Houston TranStar website. It's a live shot taken 10 minutes ago. Hmmm... bumper-to-bumper traffic on the northbound side, while the southbound lanes are practically empty. What's up with that?!? Houston! We have a problem!
