Winter Wonderland

I love a good snowstorm, and after missing last winter's largest storm (I was in New Hampshire working on the presidential primary when the Washington, DC area saw its largest snowfall of the year), I was worried old man winter would pass me by again. But, last week suburban Maryland finally got a decent snow. About 6 inches of the white stuff covered the ground here in our area. It was just a fraction of what the same storm dumped further north, but certainly enough to break out the kids' snowsuits and boots.

I took the kids out with me to shovel the driveway and sidewalk, and we had a grand time catching snowflakes on our tongues, making snow angels and building/climbing/sliding down snow mountains (had to do something with all the snow from the driveway). I, err... I mean the kids, are going to be so disappointed when it all melts. {sigh}
