Dancing Tree Frogs

The kids and I ventured out this morning and took in a children's concert at an outdoor pavilion. We sat on the lawn, in front of the stage, and watched Flumba and Friends. It was a fun little show, involving a tree frog and lots of songs and dances, all revolving around science. Some of it was a bit over my kids' heads, but rhythm and dance seem to be fundamentally understood by children.

Me, on the other hand... I seem to be "RI" (my wife's acronym for "rhythm impaired"). Actually, I love music. And dance, too. I just can't seem to get my body to move the way my mind sees it. Perhaps my children will be able to teach me. A poster I had years ago comes to mind. On it was printed a saying from Zimbabwe: "If you can walk, you can dance! If you can talk, you can sing!"
