Shhh! The links are listening!

Oh, well, hi there!

Did you know it's possible to track who links to your website? I did not. I know, I know... I have a lot to learn about the wonderful world of the web. So, anyhow, I had been thinking I would have some time to play around with the Daily Yak before anybody even noticed it was here. Of course one of the first things I did was put up a list of links to my favorite spots in the blogosphere. I didn't know that would give away my little blog, and I'm a bit embarrassed now that some of you have been curious enough to drop by.

Most of you probably have no clue who I am. Well, Fulltime Father and Rebel Dad know me a little from the stay-at-home dad scene. And I did buy a copy of Dancing Barefoot from Wil last year (before he got the big-time publishing deal). But for the most part, I've just been blessed to anonymously read what all of you share on your blogs. Thank you so much! You all are just an amazing bunch of writers!

So, to all my linkees (is that a word?), and to everyone else who somehow stumbled across the Daily Yak... Hello! My name is Russ. I'm not a writer, though I guess I'm trying to play one on this blog. I've have had a lot of interesting experiences in my life (at least I've found them interesting) and a wide variety of occupations over the years. However, none have compared to what I currently do. I am a stay-at-home dad, and being a parent is, well, the greatest job I think anyone could have. When I have free time (what's that?) I'm a leader in a local community-organizing group, a political junkie, a wannabe computer geek, and an avid reader.

Welcome to the Daily Yak! Feel free to make yourself at home, and let me know what you think of the place.
